My Mom gave me some really good advice the other day, that I thought to share.
Ever since I was little I have always been a productive type of girl. I don't want to waste my time playing around. Which applies to how I handle romantic relationships. I fear wasting my time on a guy and ending up let down with my heart broken. And my Mom realized this, so she took me aside and told me something that really put things into perspective for me.
TAKE LOVE LIKE A COWBOY RIDING A BUCKING BRONC. When they get bucked off for the first time, they don't let it keep them from getting back on. Sure, It hurt and it also taught them a lesson that they will never forget. BUT A COWBOY KEEPS RIDING THE HORSE UNTIL THE HORSE FINALLY LEARNS HOW TO BEHAVE.
The point is that just because one man, two men, or even ten men mess things up, doesn't mean all men are like that. I may never get married (and I'd be perfectly content and happy with life if that were the case) but I should never let the past mistakes of others keep me from giving love another chance.
